Justin Kan on creator economy, shutting down Atrium, leaving San Francisco, mental health and Twitch

Talked to Justin about building his own media company (have you seen how active he is ALL OVER social media these days?), shutting down Atrium and his feelings about it. Ah, and Twitch, of course.

Atrium built software for startups to navigate fundraising, hiring, acquisition deals and collaboration with their legal team. Atrium has raised around $75 million in venture capital funding from firms like Andreessen Horowitz, General Catalyst, and Y Combinator.

In 2007, Justin Kan with Kyle Vogt, Michael Seibel, and Emmett Shear, started Justin.tv, which became Twitch, the popular video game streaming platform. On August 25, 2014, Amazon acquired Twitch Interactive for $970 million.
