Took me an hour and about $12 to get to my terminal at JFK. Subway and Airtrain. Helicopter ride seems cool and novel though.
Make sure they have functional seat belts and that a proper safety brief is given. People died last time a helicopter ditched in the water. Aside from that enjoy the ride.

Years ago I took a Manhattan tour from a heliport on FDR Drive and the pilot was an off-duty NYCPD helicopter pilot. It was worth every cent. I asked him how much it would cost to fly me under the George Washington Bridge. He said about $1,000 more than whatever I had! Take a helicopter ride around Manhattan once in your life.
