Google Didn't Start Indexing My Site for 5 Months… and It Was My Fault

It’s so frustrating, but sometimes, Google just doesn’t index your site content. Blog posts that you spent hours, days, even weeks on, just get left out, and never become a search result. Join me as I share the top reasons why Google may not be indexing your content and come back for the follow-up videos showing exactly what to do about it!

  1. This is the first video I've watched by income school.
wow, I mean this guy is amazing. I've enjoyed the whole video and session. It is soo friendly.
I've indexed all his words and what is trying to Conway through his words…!!!😃😁

  2. I have had some issues with indexing on my site. Less than 2 months old, about 75 articles. I moved it from a different URL, which I'd only been using for 3 months. I moved about 40 articles. Most of the articles I moved have not been indexed. Most of the content I have written this month as part of CWC has not been indexed. Search analysis was done and P24 methods were followed to write most of the articles. I submitted a site map which helped, but most articles now say "discovered, not indexed" which I have seen to mean that it may be a slow host problem. But my plan is supposed to handle over 100k monthly and I'm only getting one or two views daily, up to 10 views per day. Running only 5 plugins (all recommended by P24) and Acabado. I'm trying to wait patiently, but rapidly running low on it!

  3. I know how to get my content indexed and rarely have an issue with indexing. In fact, my newest nich site which I build according to P24 in Income School courese steps and guidelines – gets the rich snippet for over 80% of the articles on the site. I have 90 articles. All except for 3 are ranking but all of them are indexed. I have Ezoic and was approved by Ezoic, I have traffic. But Google Adsense says my site is not ready for Google adsense because of quality ( mirrored and duplicate) which there is none. We ran everything through copyscape and there are only tiny sentences that are generic every now and again, for instance.. the cat is black. Normal items like that. All of my images are original that I took myself, the content is original. Now we are going through just to make sure if there are any similar titles – and combining those posts but the hard thing is they all rank. I don't know what else to do other than just use Ezoic and lose the buying power opportunity of more adnetworks through Google adsense:(

  4. Thank you for all the great tips in this video. I am struggling with one thing that I’d like to see if you can help with. So some of my newest blogs on my site are indexed but not showing on rankings, however the tags/categories for that blog are ranking on Google but not the actual Blog. What am I doing wrong?

  5. I had this issue with two of my pages. Google decided that there is no value in the content and didn't index them. I had to re-write those pages, changing the tone of the articles from being scary and negative to positive and uplifting. Those were instructional blog posts, HOW-TO type. Google indexed them the next day! 🙂

  6. I had 102 posts that refused to index. It recently dropped to 65 but still sucks to have that many but I will say this is a google problem they are not aware of. I had a post index today I published early February. 8 months later. Didn’t change a thing. Google just finally started to index some posts.

  7. We’ve built 4 sites so far. 3 have been quickly indexed after each post is published. The 4th is giving us fits. No matter what we do, 34 out of 64 posts won’t get indexed.

Interlinked, no tech issues, decent speed, content written in same style as other 3, etc.

The only thing I can think of is that it is a winter seasonal niche and only 4 months old, so maybe search volumes for the titles will increase soon. Maybe that will trigger Google to index more.

But our 1st 3 sites got indexed much quicker. Rankings took a while, but indexing didn’t.Seemingly random inconsistencies are the hardest to solve.

  8. Yes the google indexing is a very interesting thing, my P24 site took off quite nice in the beginning with about 30 pageviews a day. but then it tanked and over half of my posts were not indexed anymore. Now I manually put them in the crawl queue again. It is starting to get some views… Half of the content is YMYL, so this was the problem mainly with those posts. Recipe posts do get indexed. My other site on another language has all posts indexed, and very fast.

  9. I had some issues also with Google not indexing… But the most annoying issue is Google says the font size is too small in a few blog posts, but if I check in GSC, it always says that the post is mobile friendly and everything is good ✅. But if I tell Google to verify that, it just happens again and again. And all blog posts are the same font size. It is really confusing and frustrating… But thanks for the help Ricky.

  10. I've been having heaps of issues with redirect errors causing content to not be indexed but there's no actual error. Apparently it's a blogger issue redirecting the bot between the mobile and .html versions and there's nothing that can be done. Most of my posts get indexed but some just get pinged for redirect errors, it's SO frustrating.

  11. I'm not aware that my site or content hasn't been indexed. One thing I did do was send a sitemap to Google Search Console months ago to ensure I won't have this problem. This may be something you will cover in the next video too, I believe.

  12. First of all, the video series idea is fantastic. Secondly, I have had an indexing problem partly because I checked that "discourage indexing" checkbox while installing WordPress, and it messed up everything. I tried almost everything to fix it, but Google won't index my articles. So I deleted that starter site, bought a new domain, and started posting articles on that. It started indexing within less than 24 hours.

  13. Ricky, you solved my issue, thank you! In my case "Discourage search engines from indexing this site" was enabled. This was caused by software creating a staging version of the site, but then when it was cloned back to live it did not disable it nor show a warning. Note that this setting did not touch my robots.txt file, so when I checked that all seemed fine. Instead, it added the "robots" meta tag to all pages and set it to "noindex, nofollow". This has the same effect though: my small website only had 2 pages left in the index when I found that traffic had dropped from a little to almost nothing. I'm sure it will recover now. Thanks again!

  14. The timing of this videos is just perfect. I have recently run to this issue on my site which is about four months old. Although I have managed to get most of my posts indexed now, there is one that Google just won’t index no matter what I do. Can’t wait to find out what can be done about it.

  15. I am having this issue now, last month it actually indexing in 2-4hrs to index, but now it taking weeks to 10 days. I didn't do any major changes to my website also. I don't know what happened.

  16. Loved the intro! So funny. Like many, so far I've been pretty lucky to not have many issues with this. Typically a day or two later after I published by the time I bother to check it is already indexed! I kinda wonder about that! How does Google know to crawl so fast? I guess I'll just be happy it does.

  17. I recently found a few posts that were not indexed, they were only like 2 or 3 weeks old, but it freaked me out, and then I started spot-checking other posts, haha I went ahead and told Google to index those that weren't. I am sure that is what your next video is going to be about.

  18. I started a new blog back in late June and it has 25 blog posts and only about five of them have been indexed. I've noticed that when I click 'coverage' in GSC, it sometimes says I have 100+ pages (this is including categories/tags not just individual posts of course) that are discovered but not yet indexed. Then a few days later GSC will say there are only 12 posts that are discovered but not yet indexed which confuses me. This has happened several times where it feels like google knows the posts are there, and then forgets about them somehow. Being only 10 weeks or so in, I am not sure if I am being paranoid or if it really is something to be concerned about. I know my sitemap is submitted and is fine so I think I'm likely just over-thinking it. This is my 2nd niche blog, my first niche blog was getting its new posts indexed within just a few days from the time it was like 6 weeks old which I think is the main reason I keep worrying but I may have just been lucky the first time around.
