Big Legal Risks of ChatGPT

These risks are really surprising. You hold all the liability without any of the copyright benefits.

Project 24 is a product of Income School LLC. Results mentioned are not typical. The trademark β€œProject 24” refers to the goal of some people to create a successful business in 24 months, but is not a promise or guarantee of that success. Many online businesses fail because, like any business, it requires hard work, skill, and dedication. Before making business decisions, consult financial and legal professionals licensed in your jurisdiction.

  1. Whether or not you can claim copyright in machine generated content (AI or other) depends on the jurisdiction that you are in. The EU does credit the "arranger" of the content creation. This is in contrast to the USA and Australia.

  2. Too early to tell…..Im in agreement with Kyle Roof is that ChatGBT is the article spinner of the 2020s….it has to be edited/fact checked and then on page optimized…by that time? Its probably original. Surfer AI seems to be the tool SEOs are gravitating to, but its expensive.

  3. This short video is mostly wrong, sir. First, you don't have to state that content was created by Chat GPT, but it is a good idea to do so for transparency to a content creator's readers. You are wrong when you say, 'Because users of Chat GPT didn't create the content, they don't own it' The ownership of the generated content lies with the users who input the prompts and make use of the resulting output. This means that anyone using Chat GPT to create content has legal rights to it.

  4. As of the latest OpenAI policy, content creators using the AI models have specific requirements they need to follow:

Consumer-facing uses of the models in medical, financial, legal industries, news generation or summarization, and other areas where warranted, need to inform users that AI is being used and about its potential limitations.
Automated systems, including conversational AI and chatbots, must disclose to users that they are interacting with an AI system. Products that simulate another person need either that person's explicit consent or be clearly labeled as β€œsimulated” or β€œparody” unless they depict historical public figures.
Use of model outputs in livestreams, demonstrations, and research are subject to OpenAI's Sharing & Publication Policy.
Plugins that distribute personal communications or content generated by ChatGPT (like emails, messages, or other content) must indicate that the content was AI-generated1.

Regarding ownership, OpenAI's policy as of 2023 states that you, the user, own both the input you provide to the service (the prompts) and the output generated by the AI (the responses). You can use this content for any purpose, including commercial purposes such as sale or publication, if you comply with the terms of service. OpenAI may use the content to provide and maintain the services, comply with applicable law, and enforce their policies. However, the specifics might vary depending on your location and local laws, so it's recommended to consult with a legal professional if you have doubts.

  5. current AI available to consumers does not 'create' things. it steals things from human creators, then kit bashes those things together and spits out the result

  6. Thought by now you’d be sharing ways to PROGRESS and integrate our businesses with AI (including but not limited to GPT), but it looks like you’re just doubling down on telling people not to use it πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜‚πŸ‘ŽπŸ‘Ž This must have been what the older generations looked like in |the past screaming β€œ the Internet and touch screen cell phones are just a fad” πŸ˜‚

  7. Do you disclose all the people who help create your content? Are you liable and they aren't? I remember Alec Baldwin created a murder by pointing a loaded gun at someone and pulling the trigger. But he got no charges. 🀷

  8. The only problem is it's next to impossible to tell if something was written by a chatGpt or not. Especially if you start asking it to write articles based on your inputs.

Unless I'm wrong I'd love to see some of these tools discussed on the channel
