Not able to add a lightbox link to an image in Unbounce?
In this video I’ll show you the trick to making your image open up a lightbox despite it not being the default option, so watch behind my shoulder as I do this step by step.

So what you have to do is actually add a BUTTON and then on the right-hand options side, you can choose whether you want the button to have a solid color, gradient, or image.
And you guessed it – you need to select “image” and add the image as the forefront of this button.
You then just need to make the background transparent, thus only keeping the image.
Keep in mind however that the image must be smaller in size.
If the image is too big, you can’t “minimize” the image to fit in the button, it’ll just show a portion of that image and look awkward.
So you have to have a smaller image, usually by going through the Unbounce public images.
Ideally I like to use this as a play button on a video, where if someone clicks that play button, it will open a popup.
And that’s how you add a lightbox link to an image in Unbounce!
