still doesn't make sense.. they borrow the stock and sell it and then they buy it back when the price go down
Another way that there can be more than 100% of issued shares is by counterfeiting: instead of actually paying for shares, an IOU is substituted.

it is adorable that everyone is a day trader now, but it should be made clear that targeting a short squeeze does not qualify as "value investing." It's a technical strategy
