But it feels very forced putting a specific ammount of words.
I'm on my journey
This is helpful information. Thanks. I will check out your other videos about SEO.
thanks again about ready for word press
Tnx bro it was amazing. So you think avg word of all pages on 1st page is a factor to rank on google?
What if the max blog word is 3000 and i write 3500? I'm confused on if i should take avg word in to consideration or write the most in depth article without focusing on avg num of words?
You can use a web page to word counter without copying pasting words.
What are your thoughts about PLR? Do you have any video about this subject? Thanks
Getting closer to writing my first article! keep it coming! my brother from another mother lol!
Can also do the search in incognito mode. And the word counter plugin for chrome. This is the best answer to blog length I’ve seen. Great vid. 👌
Great info Miles, I'm just starting out and will be watching all your vids. Thanks for the inspiration.
Thankyou very much for this information 🙂
Miles what if there is a keyword "ProductName Review" and I am on the front page now but the average wordcount is only 1300 words and I really enjoy the topic and would enjoy writing a very thorough review about the product. Would you refrain and stick to the average still?
What if there are no blog posts on the first page?
Straight to the point. Thanks again for another video. On to the next!
Question, What about citing resources if theres information I'd like to put in my blog, for example, a case study from webmd or something. I guess my brain is stuck in high school writing those research pages or something. Do we cite it somehow. Do we avoid putting that work in there because it may drive people away from our site. Im a little lost my friend
How about characters? Will it count to the number of words? I'm starting a math blog.
Must be my personality type, but as soon as I saw you open the spreadsheet, I got excited. Thanks for this!
I MAAAAAAAADE IT TIL THE EEEEEEEEND!!!!!!!! Ok confession I put you on 1.5 speed. 🙂 Awesome value thanks miles.
Number crunching is my thing!!!! Finally, something I can relate too.
Lets say the content parody for a certain KW is 1500 words to rank in Googles Top 10 results, considering that Google loves quality content wouldn't writing a high quality blog post of say 2500 words give you a much higher chance of ranking #1?
Since the traffic from a blog post ranking #1 or #2 would be much higher than one that ranks #8, might it not be wiser to take the word average from the top 5 rather than the top 10?
Helpful. Thanks!
I wanna be like Miles when I grow up. He responds to comments and interacts with his subscribers. It's kinda scary putting your stuff out there and leaving yourself open to, well, everything and everybody. Also a lot of work doing ONE good video.
Nothing tell that this average is really significant. It is just a clue. If you want to compete on first page, do a Better content than the other posts. Word count doesn't really matter
Miles I'm a follower, but I've never seen your open cart. How do I get notified of the membership opening period?
This video is real helpful, it joins the dots in my head on how to learn from those in this niche. 😀
Have tried your SEO tool in C&C. This is cool! Thanks buddy!!
Uhmm so eventually it all comes down at your word count…? Makes you wonder if we really need to try to "control" the search engines by listening to much to all the "advice" out there.
Awesome person, keep up the good work
Miles, tell me please, If you wanted to launch a clean blog with pics and videos, rating system and so on, but also heavily monetized, what theme would you go with? Thank you .
At 2:00 – Doesn't it show better results if done via the Chrome incognito window?
I have just recently come across you and I want to thank you for been so kind by sharing some of your knowledge.
Your videos have been SO helpful, thank you so much! I have a (hopefully) quick question about SEO… for my niche, I'm finding several really high volume search queries that have almost zero competition, but they have a Google Quick Answer at the top of the SERP. Would you just avoid those keywords, try to optimize for Google Quick Answers, write the post anyways or do something else I'm not thinking of?
Thank you for sharing the process. Very useful. 🙂
Hi how do you define an authority site ?
Damn! That's a cool way. You are brilliant man
Great insight here Miles!
Question: So I got the idea about the average to get Google’s attention and ranking …. I wonder though .. is it ideal to have the most words, if the content is good? (I read the answer about TOO many words, so I got that too… just wondering if ideal to get one’s article into the top end of the count).
Ah, this is excellent advice! I'm using it right now for the blog post I'm writing on how to start as a freelancer.
Cool hack, makes it really easier to put the right amount of work into posts.
One question: How much attention do you pay to keyword density. I am usually in the range of 2-4% just by writing in a natural way without keyword stuffing. But are 4% already too much and would Google penalize me for that?
Thanks for your help, Miles!
Thanks Miles 👍 what happens if the posts on the first page are all mediocre pieces of content with low quality and low word count?
Should I also make my content mediocre to fit in and go with the flow?
Or would an in-depth super useful post that far exceeds all the other posts not eventually crush them?
Say they were all 250 words long and don’t cover the topic in depth. Would a 5000 words article that totally covers everything and well researched be ignored by google just because it doesn’t go with the flow?
Thanks for any feedback.
