  1. MetaVersus are here to help brands achieve a painless web3 transformation. Using fully customisable solutions and proprietary smart contracts, we work with brands using cutting-edge technology to provide a unique web3 experience to their most loyal customers.

  2. The problem is that they are cramming the affordable headset in and pushing modern technology and graphics out.
You cant make everyone happy, it is better to downscale and be on the cutting edge and bring things to the masses as the underlying technology becomes more affordable.
Wii graphics and no legs just doesn't fit in to 2023 consumer expectations.

  3. Freedom's just another word for being locked onto a device while you can't live your real life. Honestly, the problem with this device is that you don't have enough freedom. You aren't Free to live the rest of your life while you are also in your make believe world, which you can do with a a cell phone. People walk around all day with their cell in their hands because they have to live their lives. The Metaverse doesn't free you from having to pay your bills, you still have to work and with a cell phone you can work and still do on-line if you need to. Heck you can go eat with friends for lunch and still be on-line in your make believe world, with you fake on-line persona, pretending to be someone all your real friends know you really aren't. LOL As for property? It's FAKE just like the value of those NFT's and of course it can be taken away from you, all it takes if for them to decide to up the price of getting to the data for you to have it taken away.

And by the way, on-line gamers have been making their own worlds since the start of on-line gaming and they can do it while in a room with actual real friends too.

To make money on this product, Zuck needs you to be on it all day long and for it to be your primary interface with the internet. Since you are very limited in the hours per day you can spend with this, because you can't do anything else at the same time, like with a cell, it's never going to reach the same level's of use, not even close, not unless they can actually make it work like a pair of glasses that you can be in both worlds at once. Until then it's a loser because between Cell Phones and on-line gaming it's already covered and done better.

  4. Metaverse isn't what Zuckerberg has been showing you; it's way beyond that.

It will be a blessing for us introverts; it will open new ways of interacting with the world wide web.

It's the future, and one day; I'll build it🙏

  5. So if I understand it correctly, the metaverse is basically the universal immersive life enhancing experience. Feels like a dodgy plan to compete against the audiovisual entertainment business.

  6. I dont think the meta verse is coming to an end at all. this is just the beginning. Web 3.0 would be inevitable. it's just a matter of time until the right person presents it. People still do not understand what the meta verse is, or even how it can relate to practical usage. once everyday people are informed as to what the meta verse is, then it will catch on. but as of right now its too big of a jump for peoples minds to comprehend. but this is only the beginning.

  7. It’s trending right now to say it’s the end of the metaverse. In reality it’s just getting started. It’s premature to say this is the end. All the commenters here don’t realize companies like Apple are still investing billions into this. It’s inevitable. The tech is still in its infancy

  8. I understand what you mean, its basically like an alternate reality in that you get to do what you want like on most video games now. I don't know, some day we may get there, but right now the technology is not good enough, I mean no one is going to wear a vr set all day just to play pretend, although if you get access to an otherwise very expensive conference room or a lab, it may justify to wear those things, since immersion wouldn't be a problem. I would pay to use a virtual lab, as long as the simulation are good enough.

  9. Metaverse would be good if they just they allowed reality to be seen at the same time. I remember a helicopter shooting game through my phone and you could see everything normally because the camera was open. But you had helicopters and aeroplanes coming out all over the place shooting. So I saw my Sister in the phone and a helicopter came over her shoulder and started firing at me. That would cheapen the design and make it more attractive.
Think of it as pokemon virtual, that was so popular.
I hope he gets a good idea soon, I for some reason don't want metaverse to fail.

  10. Crypto has shown it was not what he described. Most of the people who made the most from crypto were already wealthy to begin with and NFT's didn't give anyone ownership of anything, just an NFT with meta data linking to something, an NFT that could be (apparently) easily stolen.
The problem here is the idea of a utopian future. Utopianism has only ever been destructive. Communism was a utopian ideology, originaly closer to what is now called anarcho-communism, but it created some of the worst despotic governments in the last few hundred years, causing the problems it was created to solve. Libritariansism is also utopian but the kind of lazefare capitalism has shown to be environmentally (allowing companies to polute without consequence), socially, and economically (the destruction of the middle class and the division of society between rich and poor) destructive. Crypto falls into the libertarian camp of utopianism and is an example of the failure of libertarianism. In reality there can never be a utopia, there will always be problems and there is no one system that can take care of all the problems.
The world is complicated and nuanced, the simple ideas of utopianist ideologies can not solve complicated and nuanced problems, they only create more.

  11. "Why are you still here?"
Because it's Christmas, everything is closed and I have nothing to do. This leave me depressed and when I'm depressed, I can't write and games are no fun.
