GetResponse: How to Add the Google Ads Conversion Tracking Code (In Under 2 Minutes)

Want to learn how to add the Google Ads conversion tracking code to your GetResponse landing page?

Follow along with me in this video as we set up the code step-by-step in under 2 minutes.

Let’s get started with the steps!

Step 1: Select your GetResponse landing page and edit page settings

In the previous video with GetResponse, we went ahead and created a 52.68% conversion rate landing page.

You can see that video here:

So select that page to which you want to add the code to and scroll to the bottom to where you’ll see the Analytics settings.

Click on the second dropdown option that says “Google Ads Conversion Tracking”.

Now we need to get the Google Ads conversion ID and the conversion label and that’s where step 2 comes in!

Step 2: Get the Google Ads conversion tracking code

I assume that you already know how to create a conversion in Google Ads.

If not, check out this video as I guide you through the process step-by-step:

But basically, you’re going to want to simply create that conversion, and then click on the “Install using Google Tag Manager” tab.

Don’t worry – you don’t need to actually use Google Tag Manager – it’s just easier to get the information needed this way.

You will then see the conversion ID and the conversion label neatly laid out for you.

Simply copy these numbers and paste them into the corresponding places in your GetResponse analytics settings. Click on “Publish” and you should be good to go.

The last step just involves some testing, so let’s look at the ways you can test to make sure you set the Google Ads conversion code with your GetResponse page correctly.

Step 3: Check your setup

Now you just have to check to make sure you’re setting everything up correctly.

So you would open your GetResponse page, and right-click anywhere and select “View Page Source”.

This will pull up some code, but the only thing you’re looking for is your Google Ads conversion ID.

So just control + F on Windows or use the Mac button + F on Mac to pull up the “Find” bar at the top of your page.

Then just enter your Google Ads conversion ID number and see if it shows up anywhere on the page.

If it does, great! You set everything up correctly.

If not, go back in through steps 1 and 2 and make sure your setup is correct.

By the way, another way you could test the same thing is by downloading a Chrome extension called “Tag Assistant By Google”. It’s an extension that basically checks the code of the page and does exactly the same thing without needing to view the page source by right-clicking manually.

And that’s how you add the Google Ads conversion tracking code to your GetResponse landing page!

  1. Hi Ivan, thank you very much for the video. In your example, how would google tag Custom Keto Diet conversions? It seems to me that you send the Lead to the Producer page, as you would install your pixel on the Producer page. Help

  2. i have done everything that's in your video. now where i can see data. when i go to the conversions actions and their tracking status is unverified. do i have to do anything else after i done everything in this video

  3. Question: Any hiccups with using Get Response and Google Ads? Disapproved ads, disapproved landing pages, etc. I know Google Ads can be very sensitive.
