The Credit Suisse Global Report reported that 1% of the world’s richest millionaires and billionaires right now, own 44% of the entire world’s wealth, the top 10 billionaires own $801 billion of assets which is larger than the GDP of Saudi Arabia, Switzerland, Turkey, Taiwan, Poland, Sweden, Belgium, Thailand, and Iran. Out of all the countries in the world, the United States happens to have the most millionaires by far.

In order to be considered part of the 1% of US earners, you’d need to make roughly $400,000 per year in income. That number actually varies state to state, for example here in Las Vegas, Nevada, you’d need to make roughly $469,328 to be considered 1%, while if you’re in New York City, you need to make $702,559. What’s crazy to me though, is that the President of the most powerful country in the world, the United States, takes a salary of only $400,000 per year. While that’s still a lot of money, it’s far below what some people make from their jobs. All of these following 8 jobs can make well above $400k a year and into the legendary 7 digit million dollar figure.

#1: Healthcare jobs: anesthesiologists, plastic surgeons, cardiologists, and neurosurgeons. If you can stomach the work, the grueling hours, and the emotional effects of how important your job is to saving someone’s life, you can earn an annual salary of $400k to $500k and up. The downside is that you need 13 years of studying after high school. The average debt that these professions hold is anywhere between $200,000 to $300,000.

#2 Tech. The average salaries here are easily six figures. Even a software engineer intern at Google makes over $7,000 a month starting pay. The big salaries belong to the senior software developers that work for FANG. Facebook, Apple, Amazon , Netflix and Google. If you’re a tech lead, you can make over half a million dollars a year and more after bonuses and incentives. This was my first choice when I was considering a job. The downside to this job isn’t the education or the cost, instead, it’s a just you cannot learn unless you have some basic interest in doing so. You can’t force yourself to learn coding, you need to have a drive and passion for it.

#3 Finance. Specifically, an investment banker. If you watched my video about the stock market where I talked to Raoul Paul, that’s the guy that pulls in well over a million dollars a year at the height of his career. If you’re really smart about it, you can be a managing director making well over a million dollars in bonuses alone in about 10 years. Three years as an analyst, three years as an associate, 3 years as a VP, and another year or so as an executive director. That’s the best case scenario, according to efinancialcareers.com. The average time it takes to become MD is 17.5 years.

#4 Law. There are lots of different flavors of lawyer to choose from. If you do a quick google search you’ll see the highest paid ones by salary are corporate lawyers, tax attorneys, trial attorneys, IP attorneys and medical lawyers. But in my opinion, one of the highest paid specialty lawyers are class action lawyers. The average debt here is $145,000 and it’s an extremely high stress career with very high rewards.

#5 Consulting. I got to consult on Now You See Me 2 and spend two months with the cast and train them how to do cardistry. Probably one of the coolest life experiences ever and consulting contracts can easily be well over a million dollars.

#6 Day Trader. While not exactly a position that you apply for, it does closely relate to a hedge fund manager. Except in this case, instead working for a banking giant, you’re working for yourself.

#7 Realtor / Real Estate Investing. Two ways you can go about this one, you can either leverage your money by buying houses, renting them out, and selling them for a profit or you can become a luxury real estate agent and become a millionaire. Best examples are Graham Stephan and Meet Kevin.

#8 Social Media person. Whether it’s instagram, Facebook, or YouTube, you can make over a million dollars a year making videos from the comfort of your own home.

  1. The 75k argument does not make sense at all. If you live in SFO, 75k is peanuts. You will be on the streets. Also, does that income take into account the overall financial situation: some people have student debt, car debts, credit cards, parents or other to support. On the other hand, some people have paid off homes, dying parents who will leave them 500k, etc. ETC. I am not sure why otherwise intelligent speakers keep on quoting that number out of thin air!

  2. I’m only 13 and I’m already obsessed with my future. I want fast cash quick so I can live, and once I settle down for a family I don’t wanna be worried about money, I want to be completely comfortable for 2-3 years.

I thought about being a doctor, or working in computer programming because it makes the most, but that stuff takes a long time.
I’m kinda just thinking about getting into selling on Amazon when I’m older, plus doing that would be much easier i were to be a stay at home mom

  3. So with the whole making money Casey Neistat made an argument against people who say you don’t need to make a ton of money and that money doesn’t solve your problems. He started by saying yes, yes it does. He was broke poor and rose up to what he is now and said it is WAYYYYYY easier now. Money does solve ALOT of problems.

Maybe it doesn’t solve all of them, but it gives the peace of mind so you don’t have to worry about how you are paying for your house or food: the basic necessities of life

  4. I have a similar nearly identical shirt. Hey, you seem trustworthy and reliable. Please send me more info about these million dollar jobs. I don't want to be scammed. Perhaps your accounting experience can help mine, and aid me find a so called wealth I made in the year 2007 which I never received. My name is Sergio Eduardo Davila. Maybe we can meet if you're ever in Texas or somewhere I can fly to.

  5. If you clicked on this video actually looking for high paying jobs, Trade skills are in such high demand and are a 10th of the cost to get trained I personally make 7 figures welding. Most trade skills only take 6 months to 2 years to learn, don’t sleep on them.

  6. Great Video clip! Forgive me for chiming in, I am interested in your opinion. Have you considered – Schallingora Brain Reconstruction Scheme (erm, check it on google should be there)? It is an awesome one of a kind guide for learning how to acquire the mind of a millionaire minus the headache. Ive heard some incredible things about it and my close friend Aubrey at very last got cool success with it.
