  1. As a previous resident of Irvine, the same as where this is filmed, everything is overpriced and you're much better in a house. The rent she's listing is rather affordable compared to other nearby areas

  2. Own house. As a born and raised California living in many different types of housing from the poorest projects to the upscale condo / suburbia I can honestly say I prefer living in my own house. Only because I like the ability to truly feel comfortable and free. Though where I live is not desirable for most people who would live in a community like the one in this video, no disrespect to you guys, I live on three acres with a nice size home for me and my family and enjoy the peace if not having to bother neighbors with my kids or animals being loud as well as being able to jam out as a musician or deal with HOA. But that's the glory of California we all have so many different avenues and places we can go to to resonate with each of our souls. Find your place and live happy.

  3. I stayed here and loved it. Everything we ever wanted. There are different levels from entry on up a bit more luxurious with more amenities. Lots of common green spaces, coffee shops with small sandwiches and food items, big pools, underground gated parking, super clean, gyms, post offices, groceries stores, etc. Love the Spectrum Area.

  4. I prefer staying exactly where I am now, a Mediterranean country, which by US standards is considered poor. On the other hand I don't have to pay a shitload of money for a studio(!) and there are more supermarkets, cafes, take away and delivery restaurants, and other equally useful establishments within a walking distance than I can count right now.

  5. What she’s saying is she’s easy access to everything within the community..which is good. But the rents are too high. I live in a townhome Iv Vons, target 2mts away ..Aldi about 5mts away from my home). Gym aw
post office/kohl’s…literally 1 minute away…it’s possible in the US too.

I lived in Bengaluru-India in Apartment (not a luxury like here) but very good enough…has Mall/ Sheraton hotel/ hospital/ movie theater/pharmacy/ dry cleaner/ a small grocery/restaurant/ gym/ club house/ …everything I needed for 3 yrs I enjoyed my stay there…I didn’t have to go out in the heavy traffic which I hated.

  6. Don’t say “Normally in the US”
There are plenty of places that you have not been to in the US that you have not been to that are completely different and you have only been to LA one of the most expensive cities in the world and this city is used a lot for rich celebrities or comercial use

  7. That place seems to be in the City of Irvine. Given a choice, I would never pick that place. Irvine is a small beautifully kept socialist city full of rules and prohibitions. For example there is no street parking in most places, all buildings look alike, you cannot work on your car outside, you cannot have more than a certain amount of guests at a time….the list of dont's can stretch to both sides on a sheet of paper. $2500 for a studio and you have 1000 rules that strip your freedom.
Basically they tied your hands so you don't look like you don't fit…

  8. This is weird to me. I am from Germany and most streets can have houses, town houses, apartment buildings, houses with shops and apartments, houses with offices and apartments, shops,… all in one. Depending on where you live you can just go outside your house or apartment and say "1 minute by walk I have a cafe and the post office, 3 minutes by walk I have a grocery store and a pet shop, 4 minutes by walk there is a doctors office and my best friend lives just 1 floor over the doctors office" etc.

  9. In California, the further south you go the more small communal grocery stores you can find, I have 2 within easy walking distance for me. (I live in San Diego and really enjoy this aspect, I'm grateful that Mexico still has such a strong influence in the area, generally these small grocery stores are Mexican owned and operated)
