  1. And to afford that you need to work non stop day in and day out throughout the whole year. No thanks. I spend $550 a month in Vietnam and I live a 5x happier life

  2. So, I'm in LA…I don't have a car and catch the bus mostly, I don't have a gym membership, my company covers health insurance premium and I don't eat out too much, maybe once a week typically…altogether with rent & bills (building covers water costs) for my studio apartment in beverly hills (granted, I got a good price as I moved in the middle of covid when prices were lowered, I wouldn't be able to afford market price today!) it costs me half that at about $2500 or so a month…it doesn't have to be that expensive, it really depends on your lifestyle and how good the company you work for is

  3. Idk about needing to buy a new new car. You can just buy a quality 4k or 3k car and not have a constant car payment. Probably cheaper insurance depending on your drive history but that savings go right into groceries lol

  4. I'm Southern California like 4th generation here and I must say thank God I have family that is pre established here because I make a decent dollar and I still can't afford basic living. Keep grinding people one day it will pay off.
