  1. Yes, I identify with some of those qualities. I saw the effect of that in particular when I used to be in charge of large finance/accounting groups. I have worked on myself for years, but still have quite a way to go. Thanks for the reinforcement.

  2. Once I became a nurse, and as I grew older, I was really good at delegating. Then I hurt my back and had 2 lumbar surgeries and awaiting a third, and 1 neck surgery. I have spent the better part of the last 4 years trying to recover and not improving, barely walking due to the pain….which now includes my knees, hips, and feet. Well, during this time, all I did was delegate because I was not capable of doing much of anything. My family blew up at m'e and said I was lazy and only knew how to delegate. So, I stopped. This didn't make me physically able to do more…..but because I hide my pain fairly well….my family frequently forgets. So, when I finally do have to resort to asking for something I get this deep sigh and eye roll, with a snide…don't hurt yourself mom with all that work you're doing. It seems they've bullied me into forgetting that I should be delegating.
Because, I haven'T just been resting either. I am up16 – 20 hours a day grinding at getting a business set up…..going to webinars, buying shiny objects (to use as another income stream or as lead magnets eventually), and doubting myself. I know things would have gone much faster and so much more would be done, if I had delegated some of the business work to my son's, and all of the household and Yard chores to them. They don't do anything if I don't say hey the kitchen needs to be cleaned. I mean I have been building this business in my mind, on paper, and putting it together online for all of us. To be a "family" business we can all be proud of and where each person can run a specialty area of their choice. But they aren't interested and act like I'm forcing them to listen to me or that I'm wasting time and money on dreams not reality. Nope that is unacceptable….I will start delegating again….I need some clarity and drive back…..and they don't have jobs….because I am now 100% disabled, this is my last possible chance to create security in wealth for this family….and lifestyle freedom. They will have to chose an income stream and I can teach all of them how they will integrate together, build lists, send emails, and marketing.

  3. I would add that stress leads to anxiety which leads to indecision and unproductive. Outsourcing things which you are not good at is a way to free up time to concentrate on things that will move you forward. Plus, outsourcing will help develop a network of contacts that you can rely on in the future. Thanks for the video

  4. I'm guilty of not handing over tasks too Anthony. Working on it but its hard. The whole "no one can do it as good as I can" mentality get's in the way. The only that offsets that, though, is someone can do it quicker, while I do more valuable things. I keep that in mind to keep things in check.

  5. Thanks Anthony! Delegating makes sense but is not always possible for those of us just starting out. I will seek out others for those things which I absolutely can't do but I still find myself doing other tasks that I don't enjoy. I keep telling myself that when I am more profitable, I can offload those other tasks. I will have to rethink this as maybe if I did offload those other tasks, my overall profitability would increase because I was actually dedicating my time to the things I love or that will help to create more profit.

  6. Yes, Anthony! More productivity and new levels of success! Reduce stress, identify what hurts productivity, what you are doing/not doing that is not productive and stops us from being successful. We are only very good at a few things. There are many things we are Not good at and never will be. There are some things that we can develop skills and become good at. Delegate, communicate and unify others and it will help you be more successful. Yep, everything matters. If you are not great at some things, have someone else do it better than me, it is worth it. Plus, I can focus on what I am good at and do them better!
