Great advice. I went to my own bank to get a secured card. $29 annual fee! TD Bank. And they said would have to be approved first even though my $ would be in a locked savings account. ?🤷 I didn't do it. Going to CK other banks.
This is also a great way to build or rebuild your credit history. If you are diligent and pay everything on time or even early, you can have a good or excellent credit score in less than a year.

Not all….I disputed a charge and after 30 days the charged back to my account
I can dispute any fraudulent charge on my debit card with my bank 45 day to file dispute.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of people don't know the difference between credit cards and debit cards. Using a debit card for a large, important purchase? Inconceivable! But some people do "as they wish".
Also a lot of cards give $200 bonus for spending 500 or 1000 in the first 3 months without annual fees. I just spent 500 on my tuition fees and got 200 just like that. BE CAREFUL though about biting off more than you can chew especially cards with annual fees (although the rewards are sometimes greater like with airline miles). Thank you Max for your content!
