A big market is brewing here. Celebrities are paying fortunes to get in on the hype and this has helped breed an industry of thousands of freelancers who make a living building NFTs or teaching how to buy NFTs.
The problem for both is that this market is built on a shaky foundation. Prices and interest can drop overnight and it can be very hard to tell what is real or purely market manipulation. Is it possible to trust this market? Why is fraud getting more common? And what is the real value of NFTs?
Until two years ago, if you told someone you’re an artist, they’d probably ask you “okay.. and what do you do for a living?”. Well, things kind of changed. NFT Artists, NFT Investing, NFT flipping, it’s all taking over.

To me it still doesn't make sense, seems kind of a pyramid scheme or Ponzi scheme because now people buy NFTs with no realistic use case only to sell at a higher price to someone else. The fact that NFT literally means non FUNGIBLE token even makes it worse. All NFTs developers/creators/builders or (whatever they call themselves 😂😂) ever did was to collect money by selling a collection and then buy lambos for themselves lol
But I kind of agree with you, the open metaverse is a great idea and would indeed innovative gaming as we know it, NFTs can't do that

Great information, the problem is that if you have money in excess and available to invest or spend without affecting your portfolio or savings things are going to stay the same. So lets keep on buying and holding Cryptocurrency and/or NFT’s.

By the way plagiarism is very overblown. Most stolen art collections are caught while the scammers open a twitter profile, well before pennies are made. And you have partnerships like deviantart and opensea creating an image detection service. This is what's so mind-blowing to me. NFTs will be part of the solution for creating copyright management and having publishing control over your work.

11:12 this one off miss concept of transfering your item to other games… most game developer already talk about this most in reality its involving coding, asset etc2 that make it hard to tranfer unless both game you want to transfer is the same game, in truth its never will…
Hi I'm game developer and I need to clarify that's, it's not possible to transfer any assets that you own in one game to another. Game are made with different Engines, different architectures and also different coding languages.
If a game developer tell you that, it's a big Red flag, and probably a scam.

Issue with NFT is, unlikely smart contracts the benefits to NFT are not contractually built in and can be removed at any time.

I agree. As an artist I’m very disapointed at where the nft market is heading for. Collections of items, all trying to copy eachother, randomly created by an algorythm, poorly curated, it is all purely being mechanized as cash machines. No artistic value whatsoever is brought to the public. The nft revolution could have been a fantastic way to bring art and poetry to the masses, linking the artist directly with the public. This is really sad. Of course a few plateform a curating their offer, but the entry ticket is really hard to obtain…

Come on Max. NFTs were fraud from the start. You don't own that say Snoopy or Garfield – you own 1 image from an artist. It's like a reprint. And if someone has a image that is one tiny bit different then yours – just one pixel – and that's still a different image. How could that ever be anything but a scam? With crypto you have a decentralized and yet trusted public ledger. That has value. NFTs do not.
I would love to hear your thoughts on these new Hybrid NFT that have surfaced for instance these HRO DC comics nft. you can buy physical trading cards that you scan and mint a digital twin that can be moved to imx and be sold for eth. I'm very intrigued but would like a more professional opinion. Love your videos keep it up Max!
The idea of transferring items between video games sounds nice but I don't see how it can be feasibly done. It's not as easy as just copying and pasting. Game developers have trouble carrying over saves from one game to the next.

Can you make a video discussing the difference between private keys and seed phrases. EX: if a wallet shuts down is the seed good else where? What’s the ultimate back up plan for hot and cold wallets, etc…
Honestly after losing always online drm single player games to companies not paying for the server space and refusing to release the code so we can host them ourselves meaning i lost shit i paid for because of server garbage its a fear that absolutely perpetuates NFTs to me. The fact that a) i may not actually own the right to what im purchasing and merely a spot on the block chain, and b) that even if i do if someone doesnt pay for server space i could potentially lose what im owed. These are only two of the numerous issues i have with them, but your video puts some of them into words that i absolutely agree with. Great vid!

Now I'm 18 but I was interested in investing for some time now but the thing is I only have 100$ or probably less to start with and see if this sort of thing is for me.
