Do you use Google Ads to grow your Youtube? How does it compare to growing it organically?
Actually yeah it looks like it changed again. Any chance we can get another walkthrough? I got stuck after finishing my ad groups and trying to create ads.
Hey there Jason! Thanks for this video. I'm a musician looking to grow my youtube channel, and I'm curious – if I set up three separate ads all under the same campaign umbrella they way you describe here and target those three ads to three different audiences, should those all be the SAME video/song, or is it ok if they are different ones for each ad?
Thank you, you the man!
I am half way into this video and its the best of 4 I seen this morning. I need to try a campaign and think today it will happen.
Hi Jason, grateful for this video! I have been told that in feed ads don't effect the organic reach of a video is that true? I know this video was over a year ago when you film it.
Tremendous content! Thank you for this high-level and yet, so easy to follow, step-by-step walk-through. I have just set up accordingly. I will update my results in a couple weeks:)! Thank you again!
BEST Video so-so-so-so-FAR !!! 🙂 I just watched so much videos that so much people are just… Im sorry to say it but… YELLING all the stuffs ,,BEST FOR YOU'' , ,,BEST EFFECT'' and kind of …. blah-blah things my head just blow… But this video… this video just explain everything perfect… Thank you very much for your support and very good explanation! All good to you ! 🙂
I must be doing something wrong. I ran my first Discovery ad to get views for one of my music videos.
I made it so the ads would be shown beside about 10 specific channels. After 4 days I had no stats at all.
Any idea what could cause this? Thanks.
Can't you just add all 3 placements to just one ad group, instead of a separate placement for each separate ad group?
Look this epic I mean epic been growing my client channel and earn vuewsva d subscribers killed it in watch tune they are about 45 away from monetize then the returning users that are comming back thanks Jason
Great video thanks so much! Only thing I find important is to note that while I think its good that you show us how to save some money, but it seems like it does come at the cost of getting our ideal audience, which should be more important. But then again, this might differ for everyone and in the end I can set my ads to the way I like. Easy to follow video and well explained, again thank you!
100% the best video I have ever watched on this! Thank you!
Hi Jason, hoping to get your insight… I followed your tutorial and created 2 campaigns, 6 ad groups and 18 video ads. All were approved and have been running for 3 days now but have not generated a single view. All the related channels I chose have over 100k subscribers, the topics are related to those channels, my cover images are quite attractive. Yesterday i increased my bidding on all 3 ads in one group to $.08 $.09 $0.1 to see if i was bidding too low at $.05 – Still no views. Any suggestions on what to do? Note I have chosen 6 different channels as targets and followed exactly the same settings you suggested.
Amazing content Jason!!!
Good video, though interface has changed since you made it. Re: your advice to re-upload video to avoid poor view times; get that but what if your goal is also to drive viral shares. If they share your unlisted video, that's less desirable, often very undesirable. Also, you don't go into much detail on why you recommend 3-7 ad groups, all similar. Care to add why?
OMG I was dying trying to go through Google documentation to set this up, thanks for the amazing tutorial. You've earned a subscriber and like my man! ;-P
Great video
Question: If my channel is brand new, do I still need to promote an unlisted link? or this is primarily for channels that already have an audience
This is awesome thanks so much for this it’s gonna help my channel out a lot I really appreciate it
Thanks, Jason, really great video!
Thanks so much! I just set this up.
I have one more question … You said one can run ads targetting only those who have already seen your video ad. How can you do that? Is there a separate video for that?
Also, is there a way to target those viewers who have "liked" you video ad itself ?
I do not see the same options under Discovery Ad. Is it changed?
Hi Jason, My second question is this. (2) About the different videos that you want the advertiser to create, is there a way on to make a clickable icon on the video so for the the person watching the video so (s)he could jump over to the full video? Or the clickable link has to be part of the text below, i.e. the video description? That is it ..thank you
Hi Jason, I came across this video – very clear, though a bit fast – I had to go over a few times but that is ok. I have two questions: in two separate messages. (1 ) I understand why you have to create multiple ad groups so you can associate them with different placements. However, if I have the same set of placements for multiple videos that I want to promote, I have to create the same ad groups again and again for different videos that I want to promote. Is there a quicker way around this problem? Just like you have a copy and paste for the same ad being pasted in different ad groups?
Thanks for this video,my questions are
Q1 What if I upload a new video entire and run a discovery ad on it instead reuploading an old video as unlisted?
Q2 in ad groups, you recommended adding 2 more additional videos to to the ad group, the other 2, should they be unlisted videos too?
Q3 which one comes first, reuploading video before beginning a campaign, or creat a campaign first, then reupload?
Q4 will Google charge me differently for the other 2 vides or it's just same bidind for all?
Q4 I run an online Tv, I basically base on vox pop in Nigeria, , but most my highest views comes in from our people based abroad, how will I target to get others through discovery ads?
Hey! Is there a reason you’re only doing 7 of them? Just curious
brilliant video. thanks Jason. i’ve just completely redone my strategy based on your method and coincidentally i started a campaign two days before i viewed yours. i could see the damage that campaign had caused when i viewed my analytics so i completely re formatted the campaign, re- edited my performing videos and uploaded them unlisted. THANKS FELLA. ill lrt you know how i get on but i have a strong feeling i’ve just dodged a bullet. 👍🙏👍
Hello, Jason. A great video series…I watched without batting my eyelids. So engrossing these videos are. I have learnt something from this. Moving away from Organic to PPC. I will try on the first channel to see how it goes. Thank you. Are you planning to do free Bootcamp soon, so we all do some practicals?
Jason, thanks for this excellent presentation. I saw your point about using the best three videos , but uploading them AGAIN with some tweaks and posting them as UNLISTED. Very good advice. However, I've already used a channel video to advertise my channel and gain subs. It worked well to gain subs, but of course the average viewer duration (AVD) figure dropped dramatically on that video as a result of the ad campaign (from 55% to 35%). QUESTION: Does this damage the potential ONLY for that specific VIDEO, or can it bring the whole CHANNEL down because the channel AVD inevitably drops as well? (Does that matter?)
Hey Jason! Great tutorial and thanks for the help. QUICK QUESTION: At timestamp 14:15, you told us to choose a Video Discovery Ad but when I click on "Save Ad Group" the only two options it gives me is 1) skippable in-stream ad 2) in-feed video ad. Should I click on one of those or did I mess something up previously and that's what's why the Video Discovery As isn't showing up? Thanks in advance for your help
Tnx a lot. Soo much
Thank you!
YOU ARE AMAZING!!!! So when I re-upload my videos you mentioned to change them slightly so I guess that would include the title as well? Thanks so much! You got a sub!
How much
Thanks for this I will try to apply this to my channel.
Very informative and easy to follow. One question. Why should we create 3 ad groups each targeting one channel as opposed to one ad group targeting all three? Thanks.
Super helpful! Thanks a lot for this great tutorial! 👍
