Still the Olympics is a great competition for athletes.
For example, when Oleksandr Usyk was asked if his win over Anthony Joshua was his greatest accomplishment, he replied: no professional win is ever worth more than winning gold at the Olympics.
It’s a shame there is so much politics, greed and corruption involved.
It's incredible what massive amounts of power does to humans. Sport which is a global necessity and brings vastly different people together in the name of fitness and competition, yet the likes of the IOC, FIFA, NCAA etc., are some of the most corrupt organisations ever, ran solely for the accumulation of huge wealth for the people at the top. It's hard not to be a cynic in this world. Top notch video production right here, Max. Your talents and work ethic is the best in the business.

Interesting facts! I read about the corruption of the IOC back in 2015. Back during that time, I had a tenant who was training for the Olympics. I think he eventually gave it up because of finances. He couldn’t afford it, he had few sponsors, and he didn’t have any support from family. Poor guy. Poor athletes! It’s a shame tho that nothing has been done about the IOC. I did read that this year’s Winter Olympics had the lowest amount of viewers of all time. When I was a kid, the Olympics was a huge deal. Now, it seems like people are interested in other things. Will it eventually fade away? I guess time will tell.

Infrastructure costs massive amounts to be built. It is said that the 2004 Athens Olympics accelerated the Greek economic crisis. And the stadiums they build for the events are so gigantic that they almost cannot be used ever again.
