Today I’m going to talk about the new rules that YouTube just revealed regarding their In-Stream Ads that could potentially hurt and maybe even destroy some of the smaller YouTubers out there looking to grow their channel if they’re just getting started.

We’re going to talk about why this could be a problem but I want you to stay until the end because I’m going to show you exactly what to do about it and how you can fight against this and still grow your business.

  1. I really like what you are saying. We have to view these platforms as tools and really create our own e mails lists top grow our own business so that we are not totally reliant on them. Good information. I really learned a lot.

  2. It's sad big platforms do this without informing people as it will make a difference to some people. As Anthony says you've got to follow your own plan so when these changes occur they will have minimum effect upon individual businesses.

  3. As entrepreneurs, we make our living adapting to the changes and finding ways to survive when giants like YT make changes that are potentially negative. The timing is interesting, but ultimately, this is not a surprise. When YouTube announced their YouTube Red program back in 2015 (now YouTube Premium), I knew this day was coming. Ultimately, I think this just changes our strategy for using YouTube. It's a bad move for them in the long run because quality content will eventually move to where they control the monetization. It will be interesting to see how they choose to place ads. Is it negative on smaller channels? Sure, but again…we just adapt our strategy and move the truly quality content off YouTube (which many have done since they changed to promoting whatever they wanted at the end of videos).

  4. I'm sick of this BS with these platforms. It's time to overthrow them. The more people they piss off the more likely they are to have a new platform rise up and replace them.

  5. Most of us out here can get frustrated and feel like we're moving 2 steps back every time a platform like youtube, facebook,google etc… change their terms. I think that's why your followers appreciate the value and clarity you present in these videos. And, your training can help your followers and students adapt and succeed despite the problems we face with different platform changes.

  6. Hey anthony, so out of curiosity even though I only have the few videos on my channel which I recently made for your pwa program, if later on I grow a big enough following, will I be given the chance to accept or decline this ad incentive? I don't remember ever receiving the option to opt in or not.
