Unlock Success Podcast | How to Avoid Failure By ETHICALLY Beating Your Competition

Hey Anthony Morrison here and in today’s episode I want to talk about the #1 Reason Entrepreneurs FAIL when they’re getting started with their business.

To make sure I was answering this honestly, I sat down and listed out ALL of the reason I could think of first to make sure I found the one I felt impacted entrepreneurs the most.

A few that came to mind were:
-Running out of capital
-No marketing strategy
-Leadership difficulties

But none of these compared to what I want to talk about today.

The #1 Reason Entrepreneurs FAIL in their business is that they underestimate their competition.

Don’t believe me?

Think about it this way:

Every time someone pays you for a product or service, they’re essentially saying “NO” to someone else’s product or service. This happens every day in your business whether you see it or not.

When people say NO to you, they’re saying YES to someone else.

So how do we overcome this and live it out?

How do we beat our competition in a way that’s ethical and well planned out?

Watch today’s video for KEY insights on how we do this at Morrison Publishing.

  1. This is a very different "take" than any I have heard from other internet marketers. The example you gave from your own experience was a perfect illustration of your point. Also, the whole podcast was very inspiring. Thank you.

  2. I've always just clicked away from other offers. I am convinced to purchase very easy. With this new attitude about learning from them, I think I will be ok. I am looking forward to seeking out information. Thank you Anthony.

  3. Once again, a wise lesson to other's, and intelligent business advise for all listening to consider implementing, shared from Anthony's own experience. Never a wasted minute! Thank you!

  4. Studying your competition is definitely key. And, I think you offering 24 hr. telephone ordering is what made you succeed over the competition. So, while you were looking at what the competition was doing right, you also were looking for what they were doing wrong, their faults. And, capitalizing on their mistakes. A key component is knowing your customer! If your customer is someone who is at home or available during the day, that is different tan a customer who is available after they get off work. Question: I use to work in retail, and inventory can be a killer. Did you have to stock inventory, or were you able to have parts drop shipped from the various manufacturers you dealt with? Thanks for the video

  5. Thank you Anthony for sharing your great knowledge! Yes, many now more than ever want to create their own business. Knowing why entrepreneurs fail can help all businesses, all the time. Many people want to start a business, but do not know about running the business. Be better than your competition, do things that set you apart from others. Why do I exist as an entrepreneur/ a business. How come anyone would care about my business? Study competition, great people, leaders, businesses, so you can model and learn from them. What is the competition doing? What can I do better than my competition so others will want to do business with me? Provide your customer with a great experience and opportunity to do business with you. Unique things in your business will help you succeed. Do what your competition is doing better than them. Do what your competition is not doing for their customers. There is no time like the present!
