Hey all!

In this video, I show you how to create a pop-up in Leadpages.

This is a pretty simple process and awesome tool that will allow you to get as much out of your customer as possible before they leave your page … or while they are on your page.

Let’s get straight into it!

(1) Click on “Conversion tools” at the top of your dashboard, click on “pop-ups” and then “create new pop-up” on the right-hand side.

(2) Now you just “beautify” your pop-up. Adjust some dimensions here and there, integrate it with your autoresponder (as per our previous video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r62LL8SenEA&list=PLS46f4aLJ2hNDTL9TTu4NQBz-SLVEuaqx&index=4), and you’re set!

(3) Once you hit “save”, you will need to decide when you want the pop-up to show after you add it on the page.

You can create an exit pop-up or one that shows a number of seconds after the user has been on the page.

In our video, we create an exit pop-up, so go to the “exit pop-up” tab, and set the number of days that can pass before the user will see the pop-up again after seeing it the first time.

If you set it to 0, then every time the user tries to leave the page (once per session), the pop-up will appear.

Keep in mind that if you have a Leadpages SITE as opposed to landing page, every time someone tries to exit any of your site tab, the pop-up will re-appear again.

(4) Once you do that, click on “get code” and you will get a javascript code that you have to add to the page where you want the pop-up to show.

Enter this code just before the ending body tag of your page (third option from the top when you go to the script part of the page).

(5) Hit “save” on the landing page after you enter the code and that’s it! Your pop-up should be up and running now.

That’s it!

  1. Hey Ivan, thanks for the video! I just wanted to ask, I have followed your video guide about connecting google ads conversion tracking with clickbank, however I get error ''
Missing CDATA comments '' on the conversion page where the tracking code should fire. Do you know what could be the issue?

  2. Great video brother! I just signed up on leadpages yesterday and could not figure out how to add it to my landing page or my site. You solved my problem, quick and easy. Not sure what knucklehead give you a thumbs down, hopefully my thumbs up helps! You've also earned a new subscriber. Thanks man!
