As a writer, I'm well aware that the odds of success are extremely low. I've even accepted the idea that I could pass away without my web novel series finding success on YouTube. But what allowed me to upload ~1,000 chapters (over 124 hours of content) and will keep writing new chapters is because I have fun doing it. It's also more productive than what I would do with the time I wasn't writing my story. Despite my daily failure, I'll know that I'm still doing what I'm enjoying on a daily basis. 😀

Honestly I believe that social media has created this false sense of “chasing your dreams”. We’re all being sold the idea that others are doing exactly what they love and aren’t suffering. There is such beauty in the “normal day job” and even just having consistent employment is a true privilege. All the power to you if you can make some money following a passion, but as Dan says it may end up just becoming a job. You can definitely love what you do and be the best at it regardless of your career path. So many interesting jobs and things to learn in this world.
