Look, let’s get right down to it.

Everyone has heard the phrase, “fake it til you make it.”

No one really knows where this expression came from but the reason it was originally used was to encourage people that lacked confidence, to simply ACT more like a confident person or “fake” their confidence levels.

And eventually, you’ll naturally become a more confident person.

Now, whether you believe that’s actually true or not, we can all agree there’s no harm in believing in yourself.

But people have used this phrase to – flat out justify – LYING about themselves and about their business.

They fake the money, the mansions, the vacations…. they inflate their social media following with bots and post pictures that barely reflect reality…

They fake the success their having with their programs or courses.

And the sad part is, some of these gurus really do fool people with their marketing and people will get sucked in.

And we all know that’s a pretty bad practice. But there’s another dangerous way that we end up being a “fake” in our business.

And it’s by being at the wrong stage of our business at the wrong time.

What does that mean?

  1. I stopped what I was doing just to watch this. I get what you are saying about all the fake B.S. out there. Most of it is obvious for those of us who have been in business for quite some time. If I thought you didn't have something important to say I wouldn't have stopped. I plan on coming back to one of your courses later because what your saying makes sense. After doing research and listening I also believe that affiliate is a no brainer but I need to finish what I'm doing now. I'm new to this so could you stop pounding me with the E-mails it's just a distraction. I would love to talk to you after I finish what I'm doing presently because I think you are a creative guy I could learn alot from.

  2. Anthony, sometimes I cannot hear a message like this enough. I am still working on delegating and letting go. It's one reason that sometimes I get behind in projects that I must complete by a specific timeline. Again, thanks for the reminder.

  3. Finally, someone says the obvious. Don't fake it till, you make it! Being confident and building up your confidence will not happen if you're trying to fake it. You'll be exposed! You'll lose any self confidence and self respect you have.
    As for grinding it out, yes it's so true that when you get to that stage it may feel like you have to spend days just grinding, but that will not push the ball forward. Grinding should not take the place of building and advancing your self and your business.

  4. Great as always….I really need need helpwith several things. I have tried & tried to find someone that would help me , The ones that I've thought might help have decided they don't know as much as they thought they did. I say then lets learn together. Well. that's one of the reasons it is taking me so long to really get started. Something happened today regarding GVO.. Will have to ask you about it later.   6. Yes, being fake can kill your business. Don't lie, be honest. Be authentic. People can smell a fake/ phony a mile away! Mindset strategies to be successful. You can suck people in, it is not sustainable. Stages of business and life. See what works and model after it. How will you stand out, set yourself apart from others. You have uniqueness that can be offered that nobody else can. Daily habits, commitments, mundane tasks you do. Have a clear vision, direction and a great product. Have a system so you can go create. Focus on what you are good at. Get rid of tasks you aren't good at. Be aware what stage you are in, focus and continue moving forward.
