Are we just totally dismissing TRON? They've been improving in value as a DAO now that this Justin Sun clown is out of the picture. From an openly uneducated point of view, the underlying technology seems like it's there, particularly capacity for number of transactions, the speed and nearly nothing cost per. At the least, I've not seen any harm or big losses from holding and staking some TRX anyway.

I believe Tezos will be the eventual Ethereum killer. Decentralized protocol upgrades every 3-4 months, modular design, low gas fees which are getting lower with each upgrade, 1,000tps coming in the next upgrade, 1.2 billion dollars worth of assets at the Tezos Foundation's disposal, and so so much more. It's only a matter of time.

eth changing to pos won't suddenly bring the fees down, it'll just make it nicer to the environment. Sharding is the one that'll make the fees down. I don't think it'll come at the same time as pos though.
