When I first started thinking of investing in Crypto-currency some years ago. I came up with a basic criteria for what I thought the "currency of the future" would need: instant transactions, fee-less, sustainable, decentralised. My plan was to throw some pocket change at it, and sell when it was enough to retire comfortably with. Hey Tony, quick question which I don't think I have heard adressed anywhere. So its awesome that Paypal is going live with merchant payments and you talk about it a lot but no one is talking about the tax implications. So my bitcoins that I bought in 2016 have been sitting there and the price has gone up considerably since then. Every time I trade I have to be aware of the fact that I basically owe 20% CGT on the trade, which is fine since I am not a high volume trader.
