If you're still blogging, tell us – why are you keeping at it?
Content lacks substance without a genuine community; hence, establish a loyal community around you.
Bloggers & forums give more, 100x more answers & more specific than any video. I love videos but the latter gives more info/pictures of what I need. Again I love if there is a video but I prefer to read & just see pictures(hence add pictures).
I will take a great blog over a mediocre video that does not help me nearly as much.
When I look up things about chickens for example the blogs/forum gives me a lot more producting info than a video, that of which they just "copy" the last person, than any real insight!
hello Rickky, I have a website that is receiving 10,000 page views per month now. I started the blog 2021 February.
The traffic distribution is 90% US, UK.
the niche is centered around animal care.
its adsense approved also.
I will like to sell it so you and your team take it up from there.
I will like to sell it
Could you post books and resources for structuring quality content for a blog?
Ahrefs has a good video on this topic as well, thanks Ricki and Nathan for all you do.
For me, GPT4 has replaced google search for most things. It's just too good. The writing is on the wall and everything but embracing it for your business is avoidance coping
I dunno whypeople use ai blogs it’s crap
I see a lot of copuim here… Is it because you sell course's to n00bs?
now I'm relaxed and happy (finally)
but in reality … NO! bots are COMING for the whole industry! Just wait and see: 1 year after this video
After working for 3 years and building 8 dope blogs. I have realised, it’s a risky business. One of sites was worth around 80k usd and I recently sold it for 13.5k usd because google chose to kill it.
Find something else guys.
I really liked this video ..I’ve been blogging for a couple of years now and the reality is ?? learning SEO and how to earn anything from your content is not easy, there’s a considerable amount of technical ability to this…after a couple of years and this amount of time and effort -it’s ultimately enjoyable even tho I’ve personally made zero from this endeavor and have less than 10 clicks a month currently I’m in this for the long haul -thx guys !
Jimmy was so right leaving this mess
Have you sacked your writing team yet Ricky?
Great video guys, your thoughts are also the same as I think. DO NOT wATCH OR READ NEGATIVE impact of AI, embrace it and keep building original content that is honest well written and easily read. Simple…..
I'm a big fan of you guys but I think you're being very biased. Comparing modern day ai and what's coming to alexa is ridiculous it's like comparing computers before they had an operating system to computers of today.
Ai is rapidly going to keep improving and answer questions better and better.
I just don't understand as to why these AI content companies promoting their products as if we can use their product to write the articles for us knowing that these types of content will be flagged…AI content detectors are everywhere.
My content have been able to do well over the past 3 years against all Google's updates. But in the last 6 months, my traffic has declined by 65%, even after my rankings have not been affected.
Google took 90% of my traffic and took my entire income with it
Wait till google bard starts rolling out this september …
I still blog about traveling in my state as a hobby, because it can help people to be more well-prepared for the trips. Though there are so many cool videos about those attractions, there is not much detail from the short caption, and that's where I fill in the information gap. If I want to make money out of it, I may had quit blogging many years ago.
“If it’s an expense that can be justified as a business expense, then I can pay with tax-free money.”
Quick question… I am working on my gaming blog because it’s my hobby. So if I buy games, consoles, or anything related to gaming and justify it as “for business purposes,” then is that considered okay? 🤔😁
The real thing – I have used chat gpt a lot more than Google in past two months. Similar will be the story of others. Info products are only way moving forward is what I feel.
Response posts are not going to work anymore.
GOGGLE updates?
Imagine you went the Insta way…. and whatever you do, it just keeps getting harder 😀 Google favours "good content", whatever that may mean. For me, nothing changed the last years – only YT gets bigger and bigger
I disagree that AI is this year's equivalent to siri. It's a quantum leap beyond it. The people who make generic content with AI don't know how to prompt it, nor do they know how to chain prompts together to produce better content.
I was wondering if there was any chance I could ask you guys about a niche I want to enter and have a domain name for with just one generic post. I have never created a blog or niche website before. I've been procrastinating the last 4 months or so because of uncertainty about AI. I'd really like to try this, but I don't know if my niche or website idea is viable or not.
back some years ago with meta tags, i could put my keyword phrases or keywords in usually an odd amount of times in my content and I believe as well in my meta tags. Now how does one target keyword phrases with blogs?
This is very helpful. I was worried about starting. But I feel like I don't have any skills at a high enough level to blog about it. What would you suggest?
Authors being available in the comments could be the reason people go to blogs instead of or besides AI in the future
Still working in my blog post. I believe it will gonna work. It just a matter of patience and consistency in doin this stuff. Excited to have a more than 5 website in the near future then have passive income machine.
I finally started my blog with the help of P24 membership. Despite the AI fear, I do believe that nothing will replace actual human experience, in terms of so many types of content such as actual product reviews, etc.
Ricky’s right. Just keep writing quality, helpful articles that aim to make a positive difference in readers’ lives, and the reward will follow.
Right now, to keep the money pressure off, I promised myself that the blog I’m building will be an experiment project, for me to learn how to become a profitable blogger.
Per Nathan, use AI as a Tool, but don’t entirely depend on it for info. I use it to fast track my productivity. But at the end of the day, the quality of my content is MY responsibility alone.
Don’t lose heart, fellow bloggers. The game is FAR from over.
As long as Humans live, Blogging will be relevant. Cheers. 🙂
I was part of project 24 in 2019. I did EVERYTHING these guys told me to do. I only wrote 16 posts and then had personal family issues come up in life that have taken most of my time. I have almost 10000 views a month just off 16 posts. I also make a little side money. I’m going to start back on it now because I’ve settled my family issues. But you have to do everything they say down to the t and you will get traffic and make money. And when I say everything I mean EVERYTHING down to the finest details.
For everybody who has been hit by the latest sh*t updates: E-E-A-T means simply either having a ton of high quality backlinks or having topical authority, meaning writing about almost every possible topic in your niche.
Everything else is basically useless.
I've written more than 100 (in depth) articles in my niche, test all the products myself, make my own photos, but as soon the keyword is slightly competetive, I can't rank, because the big sites who haven't even reviewed the products rank at the top.
Blogging is still worth it, why people are complaining about Ai so much? Over the years I've stumbled upon some blog post and i can tell you they are BORING, too wordy and drawn out , can easily tell the writer was struggling to put the post together. Ai is great for creating high quality content then you can tweak it however you want. People are complaining becuase they aren't coming up with good content, if your articles aren't ranking high simply go back to the drawing bored, switch things up, add more topics for discussion , give people a variety, move away from the niche down garbage.
You guys look alike. Are you brothers?
High quality stuff, thanks!
Google help google and their cronies who pay them. Then content by yall. Im just concerned/bothered that everything you do online is google dependent. I dont olike google, never have and never will. Im an author, and everything is amazon dependent. Im only sticking to it because I like amazon more than google. But amazon make more on my books than I do. And thats reflected all over the net from where Im looking. Just another job I dont want. For all the dcrap spouted about passion. It doesnt pay the bills, in my experience.
What works for me is redirecting YouTube traffic to a newsletter submission form. The newsletter open rate is always between 60-70% – that beats everything.
The website has no blog, just a simple page with a form.
Great, informative content, as usual! Very encouraging to see your human approach in a time of mass production of AI blog posts. The only remaining concern is the advantage AI bloggers get in topical authority as they cover a topic's queries more quickly than human bloggers. This way, ironically enough, they become better experts in the niche regardless of the quality of each post. So, do you guys think Google will change the criteria for topical authority?
What you can do to improve is read "You need a bigger story" and adapt it from the film industry to the blogger space.
hundreds of would be bloggers now turning away because of ai…….. if you are really serious about making really good content with great images etc…best time to get in
My prediction: blogs will slowly die out over the course of the next 24-36 months. Here's why…
1. Most humans are lazy, and would rather watch a video versus reading an article. Youtube will grow ever bigger when all of the blog owners move to making video content versus the written word.
2. The serps providing instant answers in their own snippets will defeat the purpose of someone searching for information on a blog. This means that the few people who still read blogs will have zero incentive to do so anymore.
3. Most blog owners are stuck in the sandbox for 6-12 months before even seeing a trickle of traffic (and money). Who's going to take that risk now and invest all of their time with AI lurking out there? Instead…
Someone can literally post 1 video on YouTube per day – and as long as the content is good – will start seeing instant results. Yes, they may start small, but the opportunity for a video to catch on and produce a lot of views & subs is still possible. Try doing that on a new blog lol.
Just like forums and chat rooms (which mostly don't exist anymore aside from a few bigger players), blogs will eventually go the way of the dinosaur 👍
Is it legal to use AI content on a website? Is it not plagiarism?
Does AI worry me? Yes, but from my perspective, all I have witnessed is vanilla content produced from it. In my niche, I feel safe because it’s incredibly human, for lack of a better term. I see the results from AI, like the pictures on the wiki, are very bland.
