  1. This video titled "Building a Successful Blog in 1 Year (When and How to Pivot Your Blog)" shares insights and recommendations for achieving a full-time income from a new blog in a year. The speaker discusses challenges with perfectionism, prioritizing content production over perfection, and incorporating video content into the blog. The video then transitions into how to pivot and the importance of giving the current plan enough time to succeed before making adjustments. They encourage creators to consider whether a desire to pivot is due to legitimate concerns or disingenuine reasons and remind them that creating more content leads to more opportunities. Finally, the speaker provides encouragement and confidence in the project's success despite necessary adjustments.

  2. I found a video of yours from a year ago in which you're planning to do the exact same thing as now: "$0 to $4,000 per month in 1 year with a Blog in 2022 – How we'd do it". What happened to that one?

  3. Thanks for this video. I am such a perfectionist and spend too much time crafting the ultimate plan and no time doing it! My question, before doing a supplemental video to support a blog post, shouldn’t you wait until you see how the blog performs in the Google SERPS before cranking out a video on the same topic?

  4. good point on perfectionism holding us back. I suppose this is why sometime people who see it purely as income source beat people who actually passionate about the niche.

Anyway 2 posts/day? I don't see how it can be done without AI/army of writers. Unless you have no day job maybe

  5. Just what I needed to hear today, thank you! I am also a perfectionist and am working on that. I'm about 6 months (43 articles) into my blog and I know it is a highly profitable niche, but I'm just not there yet. Because of this, I'm considering starting a completely new blog (in a different niche.) I know that I just need to hammer down on this one though!

  6. I find complete resonance with your message. I feel a little better that you have expressed your weaness which I share. I am behind on my goal but I keep going. Thanks and looking forward to hearing how the pivot impacted the journey.

  7. I'll be honest; AI has scared me to start blogging. I had just got the confidence to create one, and ChatGPT arrived. You said, in a previous video, they can not use it to make posts in an earlier video, but I promise that only stops an honest thief. I agree with these comments; we need a way to pivot around this new technology.

  8. I can relate! I am a serious perfectionist. It's almost crippling. But I've realized that my perfectionism is actually a form of procrastination. My other vice lol. Good luck with the project & don't be hard on yourself no matter the outcome. We are all human & can relate to the blogging challenges.

  9. I think you'll soon need to make another video addressing the future of blogging and the blog business in light of AI development. I know you mentioned AI a couple of months ago, but things are going quite fast with that tech. It'll change the way people browse the web, the way ads will be placed on the screen; it'll massively increase competition in the space because it'll be far easier to put out content. I don't think there's a single facet of blogging that won't be affected by AI, so people in the business must adapt or they'll be left behind.

  10. This is great. When you're a new blogger, it's easy to get caught up in the success of more experienced bloggers and think you must be doing something wrong. For me, it's a constant battle to take it easy on myself, stop comparing, and keep moving forward as best I can.

  11. Do NOT start a blog nowadays, it is not worth it.

I learned about Income School in 2021, after having a 5-year career in digital marketing, and started my blog following this channel's principles. Within less than one year, my blog had over 35.000 pageviews, and its income was also ahead of the Income School timeline, so I could say that it was a success.

I followed the income school blueprint, which is, no backlinks, carefully written posts, no heavy advertising, etc.

But a few weeks later, Google Helpful Content update still destroyed my blog for a reason that I don‘t know yet, and nowadays that same blog has hardly 2000 pageviews/month. But it is not just me, take a look at the comment sections of the websites like Seroundtable and you will find a lot of people complaining about the same.

The Income School advice worked very well, years ago, but that age of easy SEO traffic to your website is gone. Google is displaying only the really big websites to people, and besides that people are migrating more and more to search stuff on Youtube. Take a look around you, do you know many people who prefer to consume content in text form instead of video? They are becoming a rarity.

And what about AI? Do you think that AI will lead people to click website links on search when the information they want was already promptly given to them?

If you create a vanilla SEO blog (without a Youtube channel), you are 99% doomed to fail because you will be fighting the tendencies of change in the current world. It is like you will be trying to open a CD store when everyone was already into MP3 files and iPods back in the 2000s, good luck with that.

  12. Good luck man, lot of work to do and 1 year sure is ambitious these days, but if you pull this off you could actually be the person who breaks the AI generated content hype 😉

  13. Thanks Ricky, great thoughts,
I also stopped going backwards. If I make an improvement…I make it Going forward and keep moving, I ound ring to go back and implement got me overwhelmed and I stopped going forward…we are in an industry constantly changing and we continue learning. which is exciting. butcan paralyze us if we allow it…have fun greg

  14. I'm addicted to this page, cos of the kind of info I get here.

    Real-time datas.

You have motivated me to start all over again, currently running multiple blogs and testing each and everything I learn here.
    Thank you

  15. P24 is 24 months for an almost sure success. That is what I did with your program. There is no reason to start marketing that it is faster, unless we have changed to an Aztec or Etruscan calendar.
