Hey all!

In this video, I take a first look at Unbounce and show you how to create a landing page from scratch with it.

Unbounce is an amazing landing page builder because it gives you lots of flexibility in terms of moving elements around, and has the dynamic text replacement feature which is incredibly powerful and increases your ad quality score, conversions, ad rank, etc… I cover that in a different video, so just search up “Unbounce [topic]” in YouTube and you’ll probably see my video on it.

But in this video I just wanted to give you a feel for the Unbounce platform and how their drag and drop editor works.

I picked up a template that I found from Unbounce that had a 53% conversion rate and then attempted to re-create it from a completely blank page to show you the different features that are available with Unbounce.

Here is the link to the Unbounce highest-converting landing pages: https://unbounce.com/landing-page-examples/high-converting-landing-pages/

This page contains 15 Unbounce landing pages that have at least a 30% conversion rate and anywhere from 500 to upwards of 10,000 clicks. These are pages used by Unbounce users and so can give you a little more insight into what is possible and what you can create using Unbounce.

We were able to successfully re-create the page and make it look very similar to the one I was trying to mimic, and you should too!

The one thing I love about Unbounce is that it allows you to place elements anywhere on the page, not just in pre-selected areas like in ClickFunnels.

That means that if you want to take an arrow and place it slightly to the left of the email submit form and not in any specific grid, you can do that with Unbounce. With ClickFunnels however for example, you cannot.

We also used a few image sites – Pixabay and Pexels to get our images. But you can also use the Unsplash free image source in Unbounce to get some free images as well.

I also used the Unbounce icon library to get some icon images for our section talking about specifics that we’ll be learning.

This makes it a bit harder to organize and format the elements, but at the same time gives you way more flexibility in how you control your elements without needing to use code.

This can come in handy if you want to place an arrow overlapping the submit form for example, as you can literally place any element anywhere on the page.

We added a nice form submit to our Unbounce landing page as well so we could collect emails from people visiting our page. Remember that the audience is your most important asset, so it’s always a good idea to include an email submit whenever possible.

Just a little more info about the dynamic text replacement – if you select any text you want and click on “Action” on the right-hand side and then click on “DTR”, you will be able to set that specific text to a custom value depending on the keyword that triggered the click and the person to see your page.

So for example if you set the text “Affiliate Marketing & Google Ads” as the DTR, then you can set it up in such a way so that when someone clicks on your Google Ad via the keyword “Google Ads & Affiliate Marketing”, then THAT is the text that will show up as the headline – not the one that you had before.

Alternatively, if someone landed on your landing page via the headline “Make Money Online”, then THIS is the headline that will show up – so it’s going to adapt depending on what keyword triggered the click – a super addition that can increase your Google quality score, and just increase the relevance of the user experience overall.

Just make sure that your keywords ARE actually accurate so you will need to bundle them up to make sure users don’t use an irrelevant keyword to land on your Unbounce landing page!

And as mentioned, if you want to try out Unbounce yourself for free for 14 days and then get 20% off for the next 3 months after the 1-month free trial, sign up using my link:

  1. Hello Ivan,
Im currently looking forward into doing affiliate marketing. But im truly young with no income, is there any alternatives other than Unbounce? Landing page makers that are free?

  2. Hey Ivan! You've got some good eye design there. Great content as always!

How about a product landing page and its traffic source is facebook ads. I've watched some videos about unbounce with facebook pixels but I don't understand a thing from their tutorial. Can you explain the use of fb pixel if unbounce has its own built in statistics? and maybe you could create a video on how to setup those things and some explanations… (I liked your videos better since you explain stuff clearly)
    Thanks 🙂

  3. The offer link you described… I got the same offer a week ago – first 14 days free then 20% off.
It looks like that's the standard new-user offer they provide to get people in.

It's a good deal, but don't pretend like it's exclusive to you. That's just dishonest.
